On Saturday October 13 & 14 2018 the haumāna from Papa Tulipa, Papa Kamaliʻi, along with the musicians and Kumu Leato performed at the Food & New Product Show hosted by Pacific Expo’s Hawaiʻi.  It is such a rarity for the haumāna and Kumu to perform in Hawaiʻi so it was a special treat for all in attendance.

On Saturday, Papa Tulipa, The Pearl’s Of Pacific, & Kumu Leato graced the stage and presented all mele off of Kumu Leato’s Debut Album “Kuʻu Home ʻO Waiʻanae”.  They did awesome performances of, “Ke Welina Mai Nei Ke Kini O Lalo” “No Anianikū” “Kuʻu Home ʻO Waiʻanae” “Iā ʻOe E Waiʻanae” and “Kūlana ʻOlu Nani E”.  The Pearl’s Of Pacific sang mele without any dancers and they chose classic Waiʻanae mele “He Aloha No O Waiʻanae” and “Aloha ʻIa ʻO Waiʻanae”.

On Sunday, Papa Kamaliʻi joined the rest of them and presented “Kāwika” “He Mele No Liliʻu” and “Ka Mele Kuhikuhi”.  This performance marked the first time that they did “Kāwika” as an ʻŌlapa instead of a Noho.  They did a marvelous job.  Papa Tulipa did different mele then Saturday.  They did “He Mele No Kuihewa” “Kani Ka ʻApapane” “Kāneʻohe” “Pua ʻIliahi” and once again closed the shpw with “Kūlana ʻOlu Nani E”.  Today the Pearl’s OF Pacific sang “Hawaiian Supa Man” “E Pili Mai” “Green Rose Hula” and “Green Lantern Hula”.
